Runaway offers scrapbooking, rubber stamp, mixed media, fine art, and papercrafting supplies to Salem, Oregon’s creative spirits!
Welcome to Runaway Art & Craft Studio, LLC. We have moved but we are still going strong! Visit us in our new location in South Salem, Oregon, where we continue to offer both supplies and instruction in papercrafting, memory arts, scrapbooking and related creative activities. We offer a full range of supplies for retail sale, including inks, papers, acrylic and watercolor paints and supplies, art stamps, dies, stencils, ribbons, markers and a wide variety of embellishments and other creative bits to make your own creative work complete.
Our classes provide opportunities for first-time crafters to learn the basics and for experienced crafters to add to their creative toolkits. Owner Christy Wood and our other excellent instructors love to share their experience with others who love the creative arts — as well as to learn from the creative insights of their students.
Visit us from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday, and from 11 a.m to 5 p.m Sundays. Other than the occasional special event, we are closed on Mondays.

Here’s to many creative explorations in the coming days!

Fees: We have 4 classes that are 5 hours long with an hour lunch break. Fee for each class is $120 per class or $450 if you sign up for all 4 classes. Only 15 spots are available at this time and will be first come first serve with priority given to those wanting to take all 4 classes. We will start a waiting list.
So given the current status of Covid-19, you will pay a $75 deposit. We will not require full payment until Oct 5th. Cancellation for no reason are accepted with a full refund other than the $2 fee to cover credit card fees up to 4 days prior to your first class. And in the event, you become sick then you can have a full refund (other than the $2) until 4 pm the day before your class.
If at any point we are not able to put on the classes because of an Oregon Covid “lockdown”, all fees refunded to ANTONIS’s classes. Hope that eases your mind about getting on class lists to hold your spot. Students will receive a 20% discount on all regularly priced merchandise on the day of class.
To Sign Up: Please email (Christy@runawayart.com) or call the store at 503-881-3001 to sign up for classes. We need an email address, phone number and please let us know if you are in a bubble – family or a close friend taking same classes who you feel comfortable sharing the same table with.
Lunch: There are lots of food establishments nearby (fast food, take out). I’m also looking into a wonderful option of boxed lunches by Little Lois which has wonderful food. I’ll get more info on it in a bit.
Covid Requirements: Everyone need to wear a close covering face mask unless they are eating and then we will figure out how to safely distance behind the acrylic barrier to protect Antonis and each other. You must show us proof of vaccination (your card, picture of your card or something from an app – I can pull up my vaccination on my Walgreens account) or have proof of a negative test within 48 hours of arriving at the door.
