Our Customers Make the Difference!

The real joy of this store is the customers — and Christy and the rest of the Runaway gang have appreciated the kind words so many of you have offered since we opened our doors in June of 2013! Here is just a sample of the recent feedback we’ve received from some of the people who have helped make Runaway Art & Craft Studio the fun place to shop, learn and craft that it has become!

A couple of months ago a Facebook customer offered the following comment: “I had a wonderful experience meeting the owner and some of the staff. The level of professionalism, knowledge and passion are incredible. I highly recommend visiting here for their products and support.” — We appreciate recommendations like that one!

One customer commented last July on Square that “I love you guys. Feels like ‘family’ in your store.” — We work hard for that feeling; and our customers ARE our family!

In June another said “Always great service at Runaway Art and Craft Studio!” — Well, we aren’t perfect. But we do try to do what we can to make our customers happy!

Another June comment was specific to Christy’s Beginning Copic class: “I really enjoyed learning so much about the pens and shading and stuff. Very valuable workshop for me. thanks!”

In May we heard from a Square customer who said “The owner, Christy, and her crew are top notch! Always friendly and helpful!” — It certainly helps to have top-notch customers as well!

Of course, we love the folks who praise the selection, and the classes — but we really treasure the repeated comments about the times that one or the other of the folks here have gone the “extra mile” for a customer. We want that to be our trademark.

Runaway is closed due to weather — See you Wednesday, January 11

Well, the weather outside is indeed frightful — so we aren’t even going to try to open on Sunday, January 8. We closed early today (after 1 reasonably busy hour followed by 2 hours that were . . . . ummm . . . . not so busy. And with Sunday morning’s forecast, we want both the Runaway gang and our customers to stay home and stay safe!

Okay, so maybe the picture isn’t really from this weekend. 🙂

See you Wednesday, January 11!

Runaway is open extra days for the holiday!

Runaway is opening its doors on Monday and Tuesday, December 19 and 20, in addition to its regular schedule for all you last minute Christmas shoppers (and for anyone else whose plans were disrupted by the snow!).

So the Runaway gang will be ready to serve your papercrafting and mixed media needs from 10 am to 6 pm from Monday thru Friday (December 19-23). On Christmas Eve, we’ll be open from 10 am until 3 pm. And on Christmas Day, we’ll be closed so we can all spend time with the family.

We’ll return to our regular schedule the week after Christmas.

Thanksgiving Doings at Runaway!

We are open all day Wednesday, November 23rd (from 10 am to 6 pm, just like normal)!

And then we are celebrating the holiday with our families, so we will be closed Thanksgiving Day — Edgar Allan Crow wishes a “Happy Thanksgiving!” to the whole Runaway gang!

We will open promptly at 10 am on Friday, November 25th, with our regular hours throughout the weekend. But we are going to have a bunch of special offers and chances for you to save on your “Black Friday” and “Small Business Saturday” shopping trips — and on Sunday, too! So watch this space and our Facebook page for more info.  Or just come on down and check things out!

Deb Hook joins the fray with “Christmas Cards with Deb — Merry Everything!” on November 11 and November 19, as well as this month’s “Deb’s Favorites” cardmaking class, which features “Toasty Greetings” and will be offered November 19 and November 30. And we won’t be at all surprised if November 30’s offering of “Darn Cute Cards with Deb” includes a holiday touch as well! (the first two samples below are from “Merry Everything!” and the third is from “Toasty Greetings.”

And no doubt we’ll be seeing increasing holiday touches in the monthly “Altered Book Journeys” class from Christy Wood.
