Christy’s Creativation Finds are Filling the Store

Some amazing new stamps, dies and ink pads have made their way into Runaway! Christy ordered many items at Creativation and we’ll show you a some samples of cards and project made with some of the products.

First, we share some florals from Altenew. This company produces some beautiful stamps often featuring floral designs. Some of the stamp sets are designed for ink layering creating very gorgeous results, so you’ll want to check them out! There are also ink cubes that work beautifully with their stamps.

Penny Black is another company Christy visited at Creativation, where she purchased some lovely items including stamps, frame dies, watercolor stamps and much more. There are some really handy sentiment stamp sets that include many different sayings. Below is a sample showing the die itself (left) and a card showing this die and several stamps combined.

A cool new company called Stamplistic shared a collection of unusual animal stamps at the show, along with some patterned papers that are fun to stamp those images on. Some of them have landed at Runaway. There are dogs, cats and other domestic and animals on the wild side. You’ll want to check them out.

Of course an old favorite company, Lawn Fawn, had a big release of new stamps and dies, and many are available at Runaway. So many cute critters that are great to add to cards that are sure to cheer up the young and old! There are also some new interactive dies that are simple to put together.

And stencils make the world go ’round, right? The Crafter’s Workshop has a new release and you need to see them! Most are available in both 6″ X 6″ and 12″ X 12″ sizes. These stencils are so wonderful to use in art journals, altered books, for gel printing, or for a beautiful card background.

Lawn Fawn® Critter Cards with Yvonne

Join Yvonne in making three cards featuring some of the new critter stamps from the brand new Lawn Fawn® release. Each card will include Copic marker coloring, rainbow colors and a variety of cute, die-cut critters. They’re super cute!

Blue Fern® Junk Journal with Christy

Christy is ready to share some of what she learned at Creativation® this year using these wonderful Blue Fern® papers! Learn a simple
construction technique, pocket pages and 5+ embellishments. What a delight to make a vintage nature themed journal with music pages,
journal pages and lots of decorated pages. The kit provided with the class includes all the paper, die cuts, ribbons, charms and
embellishments, and cloth –everything you need to create a journal like Christy’s, as well as a lot of additional papers, ribbon and
charms so you can personalize yours. Class will include a ¾ to 1-hour break for lunch. Since this is full day class, we will provide a
bottle of water and snacks to keep you going. Class includes blocks of time to work on your own spread throughout the day. Students
will be encouraged to take pictures on their phones for individual pages.
Student Supplies: strong liquid glue (white,Beacon’s 3-in-one or similar)paper glue or glue stick, score tape or other strong dry
adhesive for construction scissors (detail and regular) paper cutter foam tape or pop dots ink and dabber / sponge to distress your edges
distress tool (optional) mini stapler (optional)

Christmas Cards with Christy

It’s never too early to get a start on your 2020 Christmas cards! We are using Stampers Anonymous® Tim Holtz stamp sets to make two cards and 3 quick tags using the 2019 Christmas seals stamp from the Stamper’s Village®. Think vintage, holiday greenery swag and simple tags.
Supplies: detail cutting scissors, foam tape or pop dots, double sided adhesive, liquid glue (Gina K® or Lawn Fawn® or Scotch®), white pen (Signo® or Gelli Roll®), clear Wink of Stella® (if you have one).
