Instructor: Sandi Reinke

Sandi shows us how to use layers of transparent tissue to achieve beautiful, one-of-a-kind effects. This is another marvelous technique class using Sandi’s love of color and of the various uses of paper to the best effect.

If you’re not familiar with Sandi and Loose Ends (several of whose products Runaway carries), here is her bio: Sandi is best known for her many guest artist appearances on HGTV, Discovery and DIY television shows (Carol Duvall Show, Christopher Lowell Show, Decorating with Style, etc.).  She loves turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and is always “gathering material” to do just that.  Whether beachcombing, wandering in the woods or walking in downtown Portland, if it isn’t nailed down, she picks it up.  In 1988 she and her husband Art turned this passion (addiction) into Loose Ends, a business where she and hubby could travel to exotic places and bring back wonderful goodies for the wholesale art and design trade, with an emphasis on natural and organic “stuff”.  She and Art still own a “trimmed down” version of Loose Ends, where they continue to indulge their passion for handmade papers and unusual botanical fibers (and a few Fake Fish!)
